Strathaven Golf Club is situated on the outskirts of the town. The entrance to the Club is located in Overton Avenue, off Glasgow Road (A726). The S.S.S. is 71; the Professional Course Record is 63 and has been held by David Huish since 1978. Strathaven has played host to a number of prestigious competitions over the years including the LGU Girls’ International Matches during 2004.
The course is over 700 feet above sea level with uninterrupted views towards the Kype Hills in the South. Encircled by farmland, a golfer (even when not playing well!) will enjoy the calm and peacefulness of the surrounding countryside.
Visiting players and parties are encouraged to play and visitors can always be assured of a warm welcome from staff and members. Catering packages can be arranged to suit all requirements. Parties should be arranged by contacting our General Manager; individual players may make their arrangements via our Professional.
